I have a Quick Mill Achille 0996 and wanted to learn more about how to pull a better shot. The problem was, where to find a bottomless portafilter to help with that quest?
As I am sure most of y'all do, I searched the forums. There was no definitive answer, but it seemed that the Astoria has the same group design as the Bosco group (that the Achille uses).
As the Achille is so new (I may have the only one in North America)I decided to just take a chance and order this one.
Well, it works great, the quality of the pf is great, and I could not be happier. Unless the bakelite was red. I would be happier then.

Looks and works great - Very professionally made bottomless portafilter. Looks far nicer than I could have made myself, well worth the money.

I bought this as a gift for my parent's Livia 90 Automatic and it plain did not fit. I remembered that there weren't any returns allowed, so I proceeded to machine the portafilter with a file to get it fit. After a lot of filing, and I do mean a lot, I made it fit and the portafilter works nicely. Purchase this item only if you have the skills to fix it before using. Or, maybe the one you get will fit your Livia 90, who knows?

Just purchased this portafilter with our new Bezzera BZ02S. The shot that this draws is excellent! The crema is thick and carmel-ly, and the flavor is robust without any bitterness. My wife is a barista and is going to show this to her shop owners.

This item is of high quality and works great. However, if ordering it for a Bezzera BZ02, the fit is too tight for it to engage at all. You will either have to file the locking tabs substantially (what I did) or go to a thin o-ring.
Editor's Addendum: The above may not be needed. Sometimes, it could be just the removal of the spring that holds the basket in place or a thinner spring needs to be inserted, and this will suffice.

Description:
Bottomless Portafilter for Astoria, Brasilia, Bezzera, and Pasquini Livia 90 with all chrome plating and true 3 cup basket. Please note that our portafilters are made naked first, then they are chrome plated for a full beautiful finish. In addition, our bottomless portafilters have true size three cup filter baskets unlike any other. THIS DOES NOT FIT STREGA MACHINES
NOTES:
1. We are no longer able to include the cap at the end of the handle.
2. Just because this item comes with a 3 cup basket does not mean you must pull 3 shots every time you use it. You may also pull a single or double shot for a more crema and a concentrated flavor profile, but you still MUST fill the basket as intended. Alternatively, you may use this handle with a 58mm one or two cup basket.
3. Sorry, we can not confirm if this handle fits Bezzera espresso machines we do not sell. For example, we never sold the BZ99, so we are not able to confirm a fit on this model.
In many cases, when using this portafilter, customers have to coarsen the fineness of the grind when moving from a single or double dose portafiler or filter basket. The reason is that the bottomless/naked portafilter usually holds more coffee in the basket, and when leaving the same fineness of grind, the end result is no pour, a very slow pour, or leakage around the grouphead area. this is why we recommend changing the fineness of the grind to a little more coarse
