Description:
  • The automatic timer version has a timer switch on the side so that the grinder will automatically stop grinding. mazzer decided to no longer produce a manual on/off switch version because they feared their grinders may accidentally be left powered on all day - this is how quiet they run without beans.
  • New lower height of 17" due to new style bean hopper and a grinder cleaning brush is included!
  • ETL Certified: Effective July 17, 2006, all of our Mazzer grinders have an ETL certification. ETL certification insures that a manufacturer is utilizing quality components for product safety, and ongoing inspections and site visits by ETL insure that manufacturers do not deviate from those standards of product safety. Ultimately, this insures you that internal components are not changed (usually cost cutting) without the approval of ETL.

It's HEAVY. Solid metal except for the hopper, doser wall, and grind tray. It is stepless so it can be micro-tweaked for optimal shot performance. I would highly recommend buying a second collar pin and using 2 hands to adjust the collar because it's so tightly screwed down. Also, it won't fit under most cabinets so I use it hopperless and just pour the beans into the neck which is enough for a good double. I bought one of those round magnetic spice canisters with the clear lid and that just fits onto the collar so that it keeps the beans from hopping as well as providing a window so that you can observe the bean levels. Plus the polished stainless steel matches the Mazzer finish. This is the last grinder you'll ever need to buy.
