The coffee blend is strong and well balanced, I would blend this with a regular Segafredo, it leaves an aftertaste. Make sure your espresso machine is well calibrated and cleaned, or this coffee will smell like cigarette ashes...

This espresso has great flavor and works great in super automatics as it is not to oily. Don't be confused extra strong does not mean extra caffeine.

Using La Pavoni's Napolitana machine, I've gotten consistently thick 'tiger striped' crema on top of fantastic espresso. It has the qualities of bitter-sweet chocolate, liqueur, and caramel. (More like molasses in flavor, and caramel aroma). A slightly long espresso has more fruit and floral notes, and an overly long one (more as you'd get in France, filling the cup), allows, for my taste, too much acid - sour. That's a barista problem, though, not a bean defect. Finally, it has a long finish that fills your mouth, and a thick, syrup-like consistency.
This coffee is not as darkly roasted as is common in the US, so there is no danger of getting a burnt taste or aroma, but people accustomed to a Seattle-style preparation may find it a departure from what they're used to getting.
